A PLACE FOR EDUCATION IN NATURE.

It is often a challenge for groups to find a place where they can camp together away from everyone. Schools particularly have problems using commercial campsites, as the other campers cannot be CRB checked, and most private sites are part of expensive outward bound experiences. We searched long and hard to find this beautiful spot where you can run around and let off steam in total privacy, and then find your way into the wonders of nature as a week unfolds.

40 acres of beautiful meadow and woodland with easy access to the whole of Dartmoor, and only 20 minutes drive south of Exeter, is available for private hire for camping for up to 40 people, or two school classes at a time.

The site has a diverse range of habitats from wet woodland, now very rare, to open hay meadows and pine forest. There is a mature Beech woodland that can be used for camping as well as the open meadow. There is a stream trickling at the bottom of the hill, and a whole diversity of areas to explore.

Facilities are admittedly basic, but this is an opportunity to unplug from the system and go notural! We want to keep the land for groups who will enjoy the peace and quitet, and will leave it just as they found it.

For those wanting a more structured experience we can arrange a whole diversity of activities on-site or in Dartmoor, including pony trekking, canoeing, climbing and caving.

We also know ecologists, story tellers, musicians and many other local people who can add some enrichment to your stay.

  
  From £1000, per 5 days (camping only), this works out at only £25 per person if 40 people come, or you can have it all to yourselves for less than the average Dartmoor Holiday Cottage - An absolute bargain!

All money raised is used for the upkeep of the land.
